The Pambansang Ragbi Liga Ng Pilipinas (PRLP) have announced the Philippine Tamaraw train-on squad for the upcoming Rugby League Asian Championship next month.
The final 23-man team, which will include selected overseas Philippine players, is set to be announced on November 17.
The initial train-on squad is composed of dedicated players from four local clubs, highlighting the growth of the sport domestically.
The Manila Storm provides the largest contingent, with eight players, whilst the Gorillas and Pampang Panthers have both provided four players each.
The Tamaraws last international match was against Hong Kong China last year, with the home team going down 20 – 34.
